On April 24, 2018, the Hyde Park Rotary Club held its annual Honors Dinner at which we recognized the achievements and celebrated the future plans of 24 students of the Hyde Park FDR High School. Students were accompanied by their families and guests, as each student shared in the evening The Rotary Club held the dinner at Coppola's Restaurant, and there were 71 participants in the evening. We had a very distinguished special guest address the gathering, David Roosevelt, the grandson of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the 32nd president of the United States, whose home and final resting place are here in Hyde Park.
Special thanks to Rondout Savings Bank who paid for all of the students' dinners that evening, and provided three representatives in attendance.

The day will present young and old with an opportunity to encounter a varied selection of vehicles and the men and women who own or drive them. Get up front and personal with a firetruck, or maybe encounter a school bus for the first time. There will also be a bounce house, food, ice cream, and demonstrations. The Hyde Park Police are donating a Police Car Power Wheels to be raffled off. This annual event is always a fun time for the whole family.
Remeber that every time you support a Hyde Park Rotary Event, you support your community. We distribute all of the money we raise to an average of 18 local community service agencies whose sole purpose is to enrich and support the quality of life in Hyde Park.

Welcome to the Hyde Park Rotary website. In keeping with Rotay's motto of "Service above self," we pledge ourselves to supporting many of the areas in the civic and social not for profit support industries that enrich the life of Hyde Park and help to meet the needs of everyday citizens of our community. It goes without saying that we love Hyde Park and we find that life together is enriched by the relationships, not just the zipcode, that we all share.
Hyde Park is not only rich in history, it is also steeped in gifted and talented individuals who come together to solve the problems that modern communities face. So much is out of our control, but there still remains a whole lot that we can do together. If you need an invitation to become a part of something bigger than yourself, if you're looking for the personal enrichment that only comes from making a difference, well, consider this your invitation to join us!
